In the first hall there are busts of Hippocrates, Avicenna and an excerpt from the famous Hippocratic oath. Also illustrated here is a photocopy of the first page of Avicenna’s manuscript “Canon”, dated 1143, the original of which is kept at the Institute of Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. The friezes reflect individual elements of Ancient Greek and Roman medicine, as well as pictures of medical care of the medieval era of the Eastern and Western European Renaissance.
