After the end of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. in the post-war period, the activities of the medical and preventive institutions of the republic are being restored and further improved. Much attention is paid to the training of doctors and paramedical personnel. New medical institutions are being built, both in cities and in rural areas. The number of medical institutions in the field of maternal and child health is growing. A prominent role in the development of medical science in the republic and in the country was played by professors Mustafa Topchibashev, Mirasadulla Mir-Kasimov, Jahangir Abdullaev, Fedor Ilyin, Huseyn Aliyev, Fuad Efendiev, Umnisa Musabekova, Abulfaz Karaev, Kamil Balakishiyev, Veli Akhundov, Bahadur Sultanov, Rustam Aliyev , Adelya Namazova and many others. All this is told by the materials of one of the halls of the museum dedicated to the post-war period.

The next stand is dedicated to Aziz Aliyev, who from 1935 to 1938 headed the Azerbaijan Medical Institute, after which he was appointed rector of the Azerbaijan State University, and then People’s Commissar of Health of the Azerbaijan SSR.

Azerbaijan is the land of centenarians. Here, for the first time in the conditions of a large industrial city like Baku, under the leadership of Professor Shukur Hasanov, a health zone has been created, on the basis of which scientists and practitioners in the field of gerontology work. This original and important work is described in a special section of the museum.

Also, one of the stands of the hall demonstrates the development of balneology in Azerbaijan: in Shusha, Kalbajar, Absheron and other regions of the country.

At the same time, a bust of the first president of the National Academy of Sciences, Mirasadulla Mirgasimov, and an outstanding statesman, director of the Azerbaijan State Institute for the Improvement of Doctors, Aziz Aliyev, was erected in this hall.
